Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nimets (“we”, “us”), operated by Rath Socheat in the Kingdom of Cambodia, handles information in connection with our products — the PadLink apps for macOS and Windows, the PadLink Remote companion apps for iOS and Android, and the Khmer Chess (អុក 3D / Ouk 3D) mobile app — and our websites. Our guiding principle is to collect as little as possible.

1. PadLink for macOS and Windows runs locally

PadLink reads input from connected game controllers and re-emits it to your system in real time. This processing happens entirely on your device. The desktop apps do not require an account or sign-up, and do not include analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking. We do not collect your gameplay, your controller input, or the contents of your device.

• Your settings and controller profiles are stored locally on your computer.
• If you purchase Pro, your license key is stored securely by your operating system — in the macOS Keychain, or under Windows data protection in your user profile.
• The desktop apps check for new versions over the internet. The update host (GitHub) receives your IP address as part of that request, as with any download; no account or identifier of ours is sent.
• Our websites store a small language/theme preference in your browser's local storage. No cookies are used for tracking.

2. PadLink Remote (iOS & Android)

PadLink Remote turns your phone into a controller for a computer running PadLink. It connects directly to your own computer over your local network — your controller input and pairing details travel only between your phone and that computer, and do not pass through Nimets servers. No account or sign-up is required.

• Camera — used only to scan the pairing QR code shown by your computer. Frames are processed on your device; no image is stored or transmitted.
• On-device storage — pairing details, the address of the computer you paired with, and your layout and profile settings are stored on your phone.

Advertising (Free tier only). On the Free tier, PadLink Remote may show banner ads delivered through LevelPlay (ironSource / Unity) mediation together with Google AdMob and Unity Ads. These providers may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or the Android advertising ID), general device information, and ad interaction data in order to serve and measure ads, under their own policies. PadLink Pro removes ads.

On iOS, we ask your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before a tracking identifier is used; you may decline, and you can change your choice at any time in your device settings. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings at any time. 3. PadLink Pro license validation

To activate or verify a Pro license, the App sends your license key and basic activation details — a device name and a derived device identifier, needed to enforce the activation limit on your key — to our licensing provider, Polar. This is used only to validate and manage your license. You can release a device at any time using Deactivate inside the App, or from Polar's customer portal.

4. Khmer Chess (អុក 3D / Ouk 3D)

Khmer Chess is a free mobile app. Depending on the features you use, it may process a player name/profile and game/referral data needed to provide the game. It may show advertising through Google AdMob, which may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads under Google's policies. Downloads and any in-app purchases are handled by the Apple App Store and Google Play. We recommend reviewing Google's Privacy Policy and your app store's privacy disclosures for details on data they process.

5. Purchases & the payment provider

When you buy PadLink Pro, the transaction is handled by Polar, our authorized payment provider, which acts as the Merchant of Record. That provider collects and processes the information needed to complete your purchase — such as your name, email address, billing details, and payment information — under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We receive limited order information (for example, your email and license key) needed to deliver your license and provide support. For payments made inside Khmer Chess, billing is handled by the relevant app store under its own policy.

6. Email & support

We use the email address associated with your purchase to deliver your license key and to respond to support requests. If you contact us directly (by email or messaging), we process the information you choose to share in order to help you.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate our products (such as the payment provider, the licensing service, the app stores, and the ad networks), and only as needed to provide the products and complete your transactions, or where required by law.

8. Data retention

We retain order and license information for as long as needed to support your license, comply with legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Data held by the payment provider, app stores, or ad networks is retained according to their own policies.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at support@nimets.com. For data held by our payment provider, the app stores, or the ad networks, you may also contact those providers directly. You can also limit ad personalization at any time through your device's privacy settings — see Google's guide to your advertising ID.

10. Children

Our products are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

11. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Mandatory data protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence are not affected.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
